I am a Bermuda based internet marketing specialist currently working for Bermuda Internet Marketing.
I would not categorize myself as a traditional brand marketer but have recently expanded my knowledge base substantially through my experience at henderson bas (one of Canada's most awarded interactive advertising agencies) and LOM, a Bermuda based offshore financial services company. In both these roles it was necessary for me to develop and implement a high quality brand experience in order to make my direct marketing campaigns successful.
At LOM I have been able to develop their complete digital strategy which includes everything from building a highly optimized website with well thought out coversion funnels to enforcing company-wide content syndication standards to ensure maximum leverage from our investment in its development.
Though my online marketing experience includes many years of managing and optimizing paid search campaigns, I have achieved many organic rankings that can still be seen in the search engines today. This includes #1 placements in Google.ca for most of the top 20 highest volume terms in the insurance sector (one of the most competitive categories for SEO).
I believe online marketing should be treated like a science and I try to apply the same principles of investigation that I learned while studying chemistry to my work in internet marketing. Hence, I have spent a lot of the past 8 years dreaming up online marketing strategies, testing hypotheses by creating experiments, recording observations and deriving conclusions from those observations.
I also have notable experience in technical website design and project management, affiliate marketing, direct offline marketing, email marketing and PHP/MySQL programming.
